The Journey
Ana Novo began her training early in the field of Music and later in Economic and Business Sciences. But, at a decisive moment, she followed the impulse of her pleasure in cooking and began her professional career in 2005 with the Serralves Museum team. Six months later she is in charge of the kitchen of a new restaurant, Artemísia, in Porto, where she puts her taste for Fusion Cuisine into practice.
She joins the Porto School of Hotel and Tourism, and takes several courses to improve techniques and knowledge in chocolate, sushi, vegetarian cuisine and nutrition at the
Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences at the University of Porto.
The second relevant project in her career was the opening of Restaurante Vegetariano Essência, in Porto, where she was able to develop her creative work based on her personal taste for a vegetarian diet.
Several years in Porto, and two in Brazil, brought unforgettable and challenging moments of learning, which made her increasingly immerse herself in a love for the profession, in creativity, and to feel the kitchens she passed through were the best laboratories in this process.
In parallel to the kitchen, she has been a Trainer in her areas for several years in entities in the North of the country linked to the Hotel and Restaurant Industry.
Curious and keen to develop textures and fusion of flavors, she values Fusion Vegetarian Cuisine.
